Great Book on Healthy Eating and Exercise

I received this book yesterday and have read through most portions. It is very motivating, addressing not only the diet and exercise portions of a diet, but psychological reasons we hold back from taking care of ourselves. Boot Camp focuses on the total body - mind, body and spirit. Meal plans are provided everyday for eight weeks along with an exercise plan that does not require a gym membership or special equipment. Basically, a no excuses plan. The meal plans are quick and easy to make and look delicious. I believe that even my picky eater husband will like most of these menus. Unlike other books, the meal plans are not just repeats over and over again. It is not necessary to count every calorie, since the meals have the calories provided and are within your allotted calories for meals.

There is flexiblity built into the program. Suggestions for snacks are built in, with 200 - 300 calories for your choosing each day. The book recommends you keep a food journal, such as fitness pal or Spark People. Additionally, goals are set weekly.

All in all, I think this is a plan I can stick with. I highly recommend the book.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! IM DOWN A TOTAL OF 37LBS!!!

I stuck to this book like glue and I lost 20lbs in 8 weeks! I had it open permanently on my kitchen counter every day. Even when I went on a 5 day, 4 night vacation, I packed it and had it open on the counter in the hotel room! This book is so easy - just develop the mindset that 2 + 2 = 4 and if you don't want 4 anymore, you have to change what you are adding together! And I don't mean just food, its mental and physical too! This book helps you dig deep and reset your mind. In addition, its so easy to follow. I used it as a journal and wrote in it every day and altered recipes if I did not like the protein (ex: chicken for fish). I also, would treat myself here and there for a meal I didn't like and would write "Go out and make smart choices!". This book has quick and easy recipes that are good and will surprise you! It is formated like: Week 1, Day 1 -Day 7 and each day is layed out with its own simple to follow meal plan and exercise and motivational paragraph. I LOVE IT! The absolute BEST biggest loser book there is out there. It is nothing like the 30 day or the 6 week book either. This is super simplified. As long as you don't mind cooking at home, you can do this without preparing your meals ahead of time (75% of the time at least, but thats only because I am up at 5:30am for work and can't imagine packing lunch that early). I highly recommend this but you have to LET IT transform you.

This book has changed my life and my husbands. Have been doing it for 3 weeks and the results are amazing. Feel so much better and lots more energy. What I like about it is it teaches you how to eat right and try new things. The workouts definitely get your heart pumping.
