A Glorious Cookbook!

As a lover of grits, cornbread, polenta and Southern cooking, I was hooked by everything in this book. Appetizing photographs, well presented and original recipes, ease of preparation. Attention to light ingredients, too. A good read, as well, if you like to read cookbooks! I can hardly wait to try the Asparagus-Grits Strata, Huevos Rancheros on Cilantro-Grits Cakes and Creamy Corn Grits with Butternut Squash and Sweet Corn. Oh my!

Amazing cookbook!

Not only is the photography beautiful, but flipping through the pages glancing at the recipe titles will make your mouth water! In the intro and at the back you learn about stone milled grits, organics, and where they can be found around the country. As a cook with formal culinary training, I was also very impressed by the contributing chefs that wanted to have a part in this book. I made some delicious buttermilk cornbread last night and cant wait to try the Turkey-Corn Chili with Cheddar Cornmeal Waffles-- everyone needs a copy of this!

Glorious Grits

This is a fabulous book - gives the history of the process of grinding grits and the difference between grits, polenta and cornmeal. The recipes are easy and appealing with great photos. This would be a nice present!
