Disappointment-more like reprint of notes

This book was a disappointment because it appeared to be the publication of a course professor's notes and images. CRC Press does publish this type of book but it would enhance CRC Press's reputation if they were to require much more from author's who are trying to get their notes published in a book format. The text was brief and left the reader having to find other sources to fill in some of the gaps in knowledge. However, the worst part in my opinion was the images. Some of the images were too small and should have been enlarged to illustrate parts of the tissue or cells better. The illustrations on occasion lacked cohesion as they seemed to be drawings that had been computerized or stylized on the computer. The latter aspect is not a bad idea but one needs to make a reasonable linkage between the illustration or illustrations and text. I also expected that a Clinical Embryology text as this was purported to be would have much more clinical descriptions, connections and references. This was not the case. Sadly, I cannot recommend this text even for historical or simplicity reasons and I would suggest there are much better texts around even at the simpler and clinical level.
